Irene F. (Greenamyer) Moon Age 85, of Canton, passed away Friday morning in Homeworth, OH. She was born in Elk Grove, WV, a daughter of the late Charles and Bessie Walters Klein, and had been a Canton resident most of her life. Irene had been a beautician and also a Nurses Aide at the old downtown Mercy Hospital. She was a member of First Church of The Nazarene. Preceded in death by her husbands, Glenn R. Greenamyer, on Oct. 13, 1957, and Harold J. Moon, on April 27, 1994, and her eight brothers and sisters. Survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Judy English, of Canton, Nancy and Paul Gordon, of Louisville, and Rebecca and John Hornavius, of Spring Hill, TN; three sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Sally Greenamyer, of Canton, Clifford Moon, of West Palm Beach, FL, and Steven and Susan Moon, of Gainesville, FL; 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Rev. Jon Long officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
