Irene Buda Marshall

Age 96, a resident of St. Joseph Care Center, passed away there Friday, May 30, 2014.  She was born in Eagerville, IL, a daughter of the late Frank and Veronica (Neri) Mascitti, and had been a Canton resident most of her life, and Alliance since 1991.  Irene retired from Fisher Foods, after 37 years service, where she was the first cashier at the Navarre Rd. store, and then worked at all locations.  She was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church in Alliance and was a former member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.  She was a member of the North Canton Senior Citizens.  Irene was preceded in death by her husbands, William Buda, Sr., in 1962, and Joseph P. Marshall, in 1989, a son, William Buda, Jr., in 2001, daughter-in-law, Rose Buda, in 2004, and a daughter, Sally Anderson, in 2006.  Survived by a step-daughter, Helen (Jim) Benton, of Columbus, OH, and a step-son, John (Jean) Marshall, of Massillon; nine grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Fr. Tom Bishop as Celebrant.  Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.  Friends may call Thursday 10-11 a.m. at the church before the Mass.  The Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Contributions in Irene's memory may be made to the Building Fund of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
