HOWARD M. JAMESON, JR.,
89, of Canton, embarked on his eternal patrol on September 2, 2013. Devoted husband, soul mate and loving partner of Anna (nee Lanni) Jameson, to whom he will be married 63 years on September 16, 2013. A dedicated and loving father, he also is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lorraine Jameson and Peter Lindstrom, of Carrollton, TX; a son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Cheri Jameson, of Fairview Park, OH; and his beloved grandson, Ian Jameson. A lifelong Canton resident and graduate of McKinley High School, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy's "Silent Service" in the Pacific Ocean during World War II, sailing on two war patrols aboard the fleet submarine USS Icefish. Among his most proud memories of his service was the boat's rescue of six U.S. Army Air Corp fliers from the sea. He retired in 1985 from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. after 17 years of service. He had previously worked at the E.W. Bliss Co. and Ford Motor Co. in Canton. Services are private.
