Hope M. McDade

Age 101, of East Sparta, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022.  She was born Jan. 6, 1921 in East Sparta, a daughter of the late George and Stella (Dietz) Meininger, and was a life resident.  Hope enjoyed woodworking and gave away most of everything she made.  She was an excellent cook and baker, and made birthday cakes for some of the small children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Paul E. McDade, on Dec. 23, 2007, one brother, Harold "Butch" Meininger, two sisters, Marie Diss and Delores Lorenzoni, and a special nephew, Gary Meininger.  Hope is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Keith Kull officiating.  Friends may call Tuesday 12-1 p.m. before the service.  Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Sandyville.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
