Hester C. Slutz Age 100, a resident of Hennis Care Centre in Bolivar, passed away there Wed. afternoon, Jan. 4, 2012. She was born in Tuscarawas County, OH, a daughter of the late Sylvester and Catherine (Ankney) Paulus, and had been an East Sparta resident most of her life. Hester was a member of Sandy Valley Church of God. Preceded in death by her husband, Bruce W. Slutz, on Jan. 21, 1982, two sons, Bruce, Jr. and Norman, a daughter, Barbara, and two infant daughters. Survived by two daughters, Shirley and Beatrice, a son, Virgil, 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Services will be held Sat. at 10 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Clifford Hughes officiating. Interment in Eden Cemetery.
