Herman A. Pisani

Age 89, of Magnolia, passed away Sat., March 29, 2014.  He was born in Waynesburg, a son of the late Americo and Bianca (Vannucci) Pisani, and was a life resident of the Waynesburg/Magnolia area.  Herman was a 1942 graduate of Waynesburg High School and retired in 1993 from BP, after 15 years service, where he was a tank truck driver.  He was a member of St. James Catholic Church which he attended regularly.  He enjoyed going to breakfast every morning and being with his children and grandchildren.  Herman especially liked to watch and listen to his son Jeff's band, Red Raven.  He served in the U. S. Army during World War II.  Preceded in death by his wife, Carmel Pisani, on June 24, 1982, a daughter-in-law, Dianna Pisani, on Feb. 23, 2014, and a grandson, Zachary Michael Pisani, on Nov. 9, 1995.  Survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Regina and Andrew Olen, of Waynesburg, and Brenda and Shawn McGrath, of East Sparta;  three sons and a daughter-in-law, Roderick Pisani, of Canton, Mark and Jennifer Pisani, of Magnolia, and Jeffry Pisani, of Bolivar; one sister and brother-in-law, Clara and Charles Brahler, of Columbus, OH; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Zamary as Celebrant.  Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery.  Friends may call Wed. 6-8 p.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Herman's memory may be made to St. James Catholic Church, 400 W.
