HENRY C. JOHNSEN,

Age 79, of East Sparta, passed away Wed., May 7, 2014 in the Cleveland Clinic.  Born in Brooklyn, NY, a son of the late Henry and Gudrun (Been) Johnsen, he had been an East Sparta/Magnolia resident for over 30 years.  Henry served in the U.S. Marine Corp and had worked at MB Operating/ Range Resources where he repaired gas meters.  He was a member of Westbrook Park United Methodist Church, the Isaac L. Kinney American Legion Post #244 in East Sparta and served on the East Sparta Village Council.  Preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lily Gaskell.  Survived by his wife, Paula Johnsen, with whom he celebrated their 20th Wedding Anniversary on Mar. 4th; two daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie and Christopher Gaskell, and Brittany and Andrew Hettinger, all of Canton; one son, Shaun Popa, of the home; and four grandchildren, David, Joseph, Hayes, and Aida.  Services will be held Tues. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia.  Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery.  Friends may call Mon. from 6-8 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Henry's memory may be made to the family to help defray expenses.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
