Helen M. Lantz
Age 95, of Canton, passed away Sunday evening in Hanover House. She was born in East Sparta, a daughter of the late Ernest and Hazel Baughman Newland, and had been a Canton resident most of her life. Helen was a member of Reedurban Presbyterian Church, and an over 50 year member of both Delta Chapter #539, Order of Eastern Star and McKinley White Shrine #54, also a member of the Keenagers of First Christian Church and The Autumn Leaves of Reedurban. Preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Lantz, on July 6, 1972, and a brother, Bill Newland. Survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Shirley Lantz, of Canton; four grandchildren, Douglas Lantz and his wife, Paula, Bret Lantz and his wife, Shelley, Deborah McCarty and her husband, Randy, and Lori Helline and her husband, Jerry; also nine great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted Wed. at 1:30 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Darrell Holmes officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Wed. 12-1:30 p.m. Eastern Star Services will be held at 1:15 p.m. Wed.
