Obituary

Helen Mae Ittner Age 83, of North Canton, passed away Thursday evening in Altercare of Hartville. She was born in Kent, OH, a daughter of the late Cecil and Venetta Manes Wilkinson, and had been a resident of the Canton area most of her life. Helen was a 1943 graduate of McKinley High School. She was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church, where she had served as Sunday School Supt. and directed the Vacation Bible School. Helen was a member and Past Matron of Delta Chapter #539, O.E.S., and had served as Grand Chaplain for the State of Ohio O.E.S. She was a Past Bethel Guardian for Job's Daughters and also was a State Officer for Job's Daughters. Preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, William R. Ittner, on June 23, 1994. Survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and J. Michael Beutel, of Loves Park, IL, Judith and Dr. Aland Smith, of Greenville, PA, and Patricia and Scott Grewell, of North Canton; also seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in John Knox Presbyterian Church with Rev. Douglas A. Patton officiating. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home and Tuesday at the church one hour before the service. Eastern Star services will be held at 5:45 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
