Helen G. Halter
Age 90, of Magnolia, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023. She was born Feb. 3, 1933 in Malvern, OH, a daughter of the late Frank and Mildred (Reardon) Simpson, and was a life resident of the Malvern/Magnolia area. Helen was a 1951 graduate of Malvern High School, and was a retired employee of PCC Airfoils, and had previously worked at the U. S. Ceramic Tile Co. in East Sparta. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the Women's Craft Group of the church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Joseph E. Halter, Sr., on Nov. 2, 2008, and three siblings, Betty Buzzelli, Dorothy Trussel, and Robert Trussel, Sr. Helen is survived by a daughter and son, Patricia Roth and Joseph E. Halter, Jr., and her granddaughter and her husband, Jenna and Daniel Bouhall, and three other grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Zamary as Celebrant. Friends may call Wed. 6-8 p.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia. Interment will be in St. Mary's Church Cemetery in Morges following cremation. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Helen's memory may be made to St. James Catholic Church or St. James School, 400 E. Lisbon St., Waynesburg, OH 44688.
