Obituary

HARVEY L. REED, Age 87, of Waynesburg, passed away Sun. afternoon in Green Meadows Health and Wellness Center. Born a son of the late Clement Arthur and Mamie Baker Reed, he had been a Waynesburg resident for 63 years. Harvey retired from Crescent Brick Co. in East Canton after 35 years service as a sorter, was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Magnolia, and served with the US Army during WWII. Preceded in death by his brother, Paul Reed. Survived by his wife, Pauline Reed, with whom he would have celebrated their 64th Wedding Anniversary on Jan. 25th, 2011; one daughter and son-in-law, Ginny and Mike Barthel, of East Canton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dick and Annette Reed, of Louisville, and Greg and Diane Reed, of Waynesburg; one sister and brother-in-law, Velma and Ray Ring, of Canton; his twin brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Ruth Reed, of East Canton; one sister-in-law, Betty Reed, of Magnolia; and seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted Thur. at 11 a.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church in Magnolia, with Pastor J. Andrew Riggs officiating. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery.
