Harry O. DelCorso
Age 97, of Canton, passed away Friday, March 21, 2014. He was born in Waynesburg, a son of the late Alberto and Gelsomina (Rugani) DelCorso, and resided in Canton since 1975. Harry had been a farmer during his early years, and retired in 1983 from Whitacre-Greer Fireproofing Co. where he was a production foreman, previously working at Glen Gary where he was a production foreman. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the Democratic National Committee. Preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters, Gino, Sam, Art, and William DelCorso, Edith Cozzoli, and Florence Cappelli. Survived by his wife, Jennie DelCorso, with whom he celebrated their 63rd Wedding Anniversary on Jan. 20th; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Steve Bosler, of Carrollton, and Anne and Jim Kackley, of Canton; one son and daughter-in-law, Leonard and Debra DelCorso, of North Canton; one sister, Virginia Mastrione, of Waynesburg; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wed. at 10 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Zamary as Celebrant. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery . Friends may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. DelCorso's memory may be made to St. James Catholic Church.
