HAROLD E. MIHAL,
Age 79, of Minerva, passed away Mon. evening in Aultman Hospital. Born in Magnolia, a son of the late Nicholas Lydia Brinkman Mihal, he had been a Minerva resident for three years, previously residing in Waynesburg. Harold was a 1948 graduate of Magnolia High School and retired in 1990 from the Timken Co. after 27 years service, where he was a dispatcher. He served with the U.S. Navy following high school and then in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Preceded in death by one sister and two brothers, Betty Visnick and Ernie and Donald Mihal. Survived by his wife, Beverly Mihal, with whom he celebrated their 58th Wedding Anniversary on Sept. 26, 2009; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Joe Chiavari, of Mechanicstown, OH, and Laurie and Herb Hammer, of Chagrin Falls, OH; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Rick Susan Mihal, of Canton, Tim and Sue Mihal, of Brewster, and Jeffrey Mihal, of Dover; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Norma Hoagland, of East Sparta, and Esta and Wade Harsh, of Dover; and nine grandchildren. Services will be conducted Fri. at 11 a.m. in the Magnolia United Methodist Church with Pastor Steven M. Smith and Pastor Barry Koenitzer of Carrollton Bible Chapel officiating. Friends may call Thur. from 5-8 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia and Fri., one hour before the service, from 10-11 a.m. in the church.
