Harold "Jay" Lantz

Age 86, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017.  He was born in Canton, a son of the late Harold and Helen (Newland) Lantz, Sr.  Jay was a 1948 graduate of Lincoln High School, and was the owner of Lantz Floor Covering.  Jay served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Shirley (Wadsworth) Lantz, on May 23, 2014.  He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Randy McCarty, of North Canton, and Lori and Gerry Helline, of Canton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Paula Lantz, of Cincinnati, and Brett and Tina Lantz, of Columbus; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, Stephanie (Matt) Ware, Courtney (Simon) Roots, and their son, Marshall, Tiffanie (Terry) Miller, and their daughters, Stephanie and Chloe, Gerry Paul Helline III, Taylor (Jake) Uehlin, and their son, Graham, Heather Helline, Bridgette (Anthony) Romberger, Kelsey (Ethan) Taylor, Samantha Lantz, C.J. and Jacob Eichler.  Services will be held Sat. at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Rev. Jeffrey L.
