Harold Lee Gill Age 82, of Magnolia, passed away Sat. morning, June 30, 2012, in Aultman Compassionate Care Center. He was born in East Sparta, a son of the late Glenn and Elsie (Tooze) Gill, and was a life resident of this area. Harold was a 1947 graduate of East Sparta High School, and was retired from Belden & Blake, after 20 years' service, where he was an equipment manager. Harold served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Preceded in death by a brother, Robert Gill, and a sister, Dorothy Rose Gill. Survived by his longtime companion, Gloria Charton; three sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Randall and Chasity Gill, of East Sparta, Thomas and Denise Gill, of Canton, and Robert and Michele Gill, of Canton South; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Betty Allison, of Canton, and Rosemary and Jim Herstine, of Magnolia; five grandchildren, Alaura, Xena, Harold, Erin, and Samantha; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia. Interment in Bowman Cemetery with full Military Honors will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Harold's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
