Glenn E. "Junie" Wilds

Age 80, of Canton, passed away quietly at home on Thursday, March 3, 2016, after a short illness.  He was born in Canton, a son of the late Glenn and Hilda (Fury) Wilds, and was a life resident.  Glenn was a 1954 graduate of McKinley High School.  He was the sole owner of Wilds BP in Canal Fulton for 26 years, and had worked for Standard Oil over 40 years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and wood working.  Glenn was an avid animal lover and leaves behind five cats and one dog.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Wilds, and his brother, Ronald Wilds.  He leaves behind his wife, Joy, four daughters Debbie (Roger) Hoover, Kim (Brett) Trissel, Traci Kolleth, and Mindy (Mark) Hoover, two step-daughters, Juli (Darrell) Ellis, and Lisa and Mike Meadows, and two step-sons, Rob Crabtree, and Rick and Pat Crabtree.  Together Glenn and Joy shared 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  Friends may enjoy a time of fellowship with his family Monday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers contributions in Glenn's memory may be made to ASPCA or the Stark County Humane Society, PO Box 7077 Canton, OH 44705.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
