Glen G. Brigham

Age 85, of Canton, passed away Friday, March 21, 2014, in Canton.  He was born in Canton, a son of the late Robert and Nellie (Gooderding) Brigham and was a life resident.  Glen was a 1946 graduate of Timken Vocational High School, and retired in 1982 from Babcock & Wilcox, after 30 years service where he was a machinist.  He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ where he enjoyed singing in the choir.  He was a volunteer fireman for Plain Township for 20 years and was a member of the Northeastern Ohio Live Steamers.  One of Glen's favorite activities was working in his home machine shop on his scale-size steam locomotive which he built and ran.  He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict.  Survived by his wife, Loabelle Brigham, with whom he would have celebrated their 58th Wedding Anniversary on May 26th; three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and David Ercegovic, of Columbia Station, Nancy and Greg Funk, of Wooster, and Lori and Michael Conner, of Uniontown; four grandchildren, Sarah and Tong Gan, M.D., and Rachel Ercegovic, all of Columbus, Maggie and Ian Conner, of Uniontown.  A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Chapel of Trinity United Church of Christ with Pastors Andrew Taylor-Peck and Everett Caldwell officiating.  Following cremation interment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.  Friends may call Tuesday one hour before the service at the church from 5-6 p.m.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
