Gerald L. “Jerry” Mann,

Age 81, of Magnolia, passed away Thur., Sept. 17, 2026. He was born June 6, 1945, in Dennison, OH, a son of the late Darl and Georgia (Morgan) Mann. Jerry was a 1963 graduate of Dennison High School and graduated from Ohio State University, Kent State University and the University of Akron. He retired in 2003 from Strasburg-Franklin Schools as a Teacher and was a member of St. James Catholic Church. Jerry volunteered at Aultman Hospital bringing comfort to the sick and dying and loved studying Spanish and wrote many Spanish prayers, eventually filling twelve binders. He also enjoyed traveling and going on cruises with his wife and good friends, George and Lil Behm. Most importantly Jerry was proud of the accomplishments of his grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his brother, John Mann. Survived by his wife, Lora Jane “Janie” Mann; one son, George (Jenny) Mann; two stepsons, Mark Crouse, and Michael (Loretta) Crouse; and his grandchildren, Alexis, Bailee and Mitchell Crouse, Elliott, August, Arthur and Ida Cohen-Mann, and Izzy and Ian Morales. Jerry will be greatly missed by his family but is finally at peace following a long struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

A Memorial Mass will be held Tues. Sept. 29, 2026 at 11am in St. James Catholic Church in Waynesburg. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 6-8pm in Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia. Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
