George Albert Motz, Jr.

Age 68, of Waynesburg, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 10, 2022.  He was born Oct. 4, 1953 in Sistersville, WV, a son of the late George Albert and Norma Jean (Smith) Motz, Sr., and had been a Waynesburg resident most of his life.  He was a 1973 graduate of Sandy Valley High School.  George retired in 2009 from The Timken Co. after 35 years' service, and then worked ten years at Rocky's in Waynesburg.  He was a member of the Cathedral of Life where he served on the Healing Team for a while.  George was a hardworking, generous family man, with a multifaceted personality.  He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, trapping, exploring, and the ocean, and enjoyed making knives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Motz.  George is survived by his wife, Kimberly Ann Motz, with whom he celebrated their 46th Wedding Anniversary Sept. 25th, two daughters and two sons, Laura Motz, Charity Motz, George Albert (Ashley) Motz III, and Matthew James  (Mysti) Motz, nine grandchildren, Mariah, Micah, Malachi, Andru, Jecauri, Ezra, Kyra, Trinity, and Aaliyah, one sister and two brothers, Norma (Bill) Shrader, Robert Motz, Charles (Angie) Motz.
