Gary Lee Pfau

Age 87, of Louisville, passed away Friday, May 8, 2025, after valiantly battling stage 4 cancer.  Gary was born September 28, 1937, in East Sparta Ohio, a son of the late Henry and Amanda (Newhouse) Pfau.  Gary graduated from Sandy Valley High School in 1955 and was a member of the Sandy Valley Alumni.  He was a sheet metal worker, foreman, and member of Local 70 (currently Local 33).  He retired from R.G. Smith in 1999.  Gary was a star basketball player in high school and played softball for many of his adult years.  Besides his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol, sister Catherine E (Katie) Gotshell and brother, Lester V (Bud), and his grandson Christian St. Mark Frank.  Gary is survived by his loving family, his cat Tigger, children, Kim Ann Pfau (Paul Barans), Jeff (Pearl) Pfau, Debbie (Keith) Riffle and Kevin Pfau, grandsons, Keith and Kyle and great-grandson, Christian Lee.  Services will be held Wed. at 10 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Fr.
