Gary Boyd Moore,

Age 79, died Wednesday, December 17, 2025 in Aultman Hospital following a lengthy illness.  Survived by his wife of 56 years, Ruthann (Beal) Moore, sisters, Pamela Albright, Gayle Irwin, and their children Dr. Stephen (Jenna) Albright, Shannon Pucella, and Marissa Patterson.  Preceded in death by his grandparents Homer and Gertrude Moore, and his parents Floyd and Vigillia (Corbit) Moore.  Gary was a 1964 graduate of Lincoln High School and a third generation of Moores to serve on the Canton Police Department, retiring in 2006 as Lieutenant.  He especially loved his work in establishing the K-9 unit.  Gary was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police McKinley Lodge #2, and Shepherd's Hill Church of the Nazarene.  Pastor John Stallings will officiate an 11am service on Tuesday December 23 in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with calling hours one hour before the service.  The Fraternal Order of Police Memorial will be held at 9:45am.  Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to: Shepherd's Hill Church of the Nazarene, P.O.
