Franklin W. Gardner

Age 59, of Mineral City, passed away Monday, Nov. 27, 2017.  He was born Nov. 3, 1958 in Canton, a son of the late Victor R. and Glenda Mae (Slutz) Gardner, and had been a Mineral City resident many years.  Frank was an employee of Walmart at Massillon Market Place.  Previously he worked at the U. S. Ceramic Tile Co. in East Sparta where he was President of the Union.  Besides his parents, Frank was preceded in death by a daughter, Christine Stewart and brother, John Gardner.  He is survived by his wife, Betty (Collinsworth) Gardner, with whom he celebrated their 31st Wedding Anniversary on July 11th, and two granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Brianna Stewart; also three sisters and two brothers, Linda Strong, Carol Ann Neal, Florence Gardner, Victor Gardner, Jr., and Terry Gardner.  Services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor John Dunn officiating.  Interment will be in New Cumberland Cemetery.  Friends may call one hour before the service on Friday.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
