Frank J. Skodzinsky
Age 79, of Waynesburg, passed away Sunday morning in Aultman Compassionate Care Center. He was born in Cleveland, a son of the late Frank and Helen (Vince) Skodzinsky, and had been a Waynesburg resident since 1999. Frank was a graduate of John Adams High School and also a graduate of the General Motors Institute in Flint, MI. He retired in 1988 from General Motors Corporation, after 37 years' service, where he was a process engineer at the Chevrolet Parma Plant. Frank was a member of St. James Catholic Church and had served in the U.S. Navy. Survived by his wife, Helen M. Skodzinsky, with whom he celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on Feb. 3, 2012; two sons, Stephen and Victor Skodzinsky, of Waynesburg; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Victor Scott, of Florida, and Robert and Karen Skodzinsky, of Sarasota, FL. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Sat. at 10 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Zamary as Celebrant. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Church Fellowship Hall immediately following the Mass. The Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia is in charge of arrangements.
