Frank Ross
Age 84, of Waynesburg, passed away Wed. morning in his home. He was born in Greentown, OH, a son of the late Patsy and Lena (Pingitore) Ross, and had been a Waynesburg resident most of his life. Frank was a 1948 graduate of Waynesburg High School. He retired in 2010 from PCC Airfoils (TRW) in Minerva, after 34 years service, where he was a laborer in the Master Metal Dept., and also was Treasurer of the Metal Workers Alliance Union for many years. He was a founder of the Minerva area Credit Union, which he served as an officer for many years. Frank was a member of the Fellowship of the Little Country Church, and Sandy Valley American Legion Post #432 in Waynesburg. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, J. Eileen Ross, on March 14, 1989, two brothers and two sisters, Albert and Joseph Ross, Elizabeth Petitto, and Margaret Mancuso. Survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Michael Mundy, of East Canton, and Carmen and Edward Swihart, of Waynesburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Dino and Julie Ross, of Waynesburg; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one sister, Angeline Fuchs, of Alliance, and one brother, John Ross, of Waynesburg. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. William Carter and Fr. Joseph Zamary officiating. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
