FRANCES M. BOYD,

Age 73, of Mineral City, passed away Sat., Jan. 9, 2016.  Born in Dover, a daughter of the late Aaron and Lucy (Dalton) Rizer, she was raised in Somerdale and lived in Mineral City area most of her life.  Frances had been employed at Alsco in Sugarcreek and was a Demonstrator for Friendly Home Parties.  She had attended Somerdale Maranatha Church and enjoyed crafting and baking.  Frances was a member of the Fairfield Twp. Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Somerdale Ladies Aid Society and was active in the Tusky Valley P.T.A.  Preceded in death by two grandchildren, Ashley and Travis Boyd, her sister, Edna Anderson, and two brothers-in-law, George Sowers and Floyd Anderson.  Survived by her husband, John Boyd, Sr., with whom she would have celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary on Mar. 22; two daughters and one son-in-law, Connie Boyd and Susan and Joe Gray; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Harry Boyd, John and Shelly Boyd, Jr., and Kevin and Amy Boyd; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Kay Sowers and Brenda and Leroy Cutshall; one brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Cheryl Rizer; and 12 grandchildren, Joey, Cody, and Hayley Gray, Johnathan, Meganne and Braden Boyd, Tyler and Courtney Boyd, Laurel and Nathan Stokey, and Derek and Jenny Chumney.  Services will be held Wed. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia.  Interment in Bisel Church Cemetery.  Friends may call Tues. from 6-8 p.m. and Wed. from 10-11 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Frances's memory may be made to the Fairfield Twp. Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 8336, Somerdale, OH  44678.
