FLORENCE CAPPELLI, Age 91, of Minerva, passed away Mon. evening in Great Trail Care Center. Born in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Alberto and Gelsomina Rugani DelCorso, she had been a life resident of the area and she and her late husband spent the winter in Florida for 12 years. Florence was a member of St. James Catholic Church and was a former employee of Cibo's Restaurant where she worked in the kitchen. Preceded in death by her husband, Mario Cappelli, on Apr. 29, 1986; four brothers and one sister, Gino DelCorso, Arthur DelCorso, Bill DelCorso, Samuel DelCorso, and Edith Cozzoli; and a grandson, Doug Snyder. Survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lena and Loren "Smokey" Hein, of Minerva; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Raymond and Virginia Cappelli, of Malvern, and Gary Cappelli, of CA; one sister, Virginia Mastrione, of Waynesburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Jennie DelCorso, of Canton; and five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Fri. at 10 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church in Waynesburg with Fr. Joseph Zamary as Celebrant. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery.
