Evelyn M. Hoffman
Age 96, formerly of Magnolia, passed away Sat., August 20, 2016, in Lincoln, NE, where she had been residing for several years. She was born in Canton, a daughter of the late Roy and Ida (Richards) Teis, and resided in Magnolia since 1949 until moving to Lincoln to be with her daughter and son-in-law. Evelyn had been employed at The Timken Co. during World War II where she measured bearings. She was a member of Magnolia United Methodist Church, and a Life Member of the Magnolia Historical Society. She volunteered for the United Way of Stark Co. for over 30 years. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, William Hoffman, on March 18, 2003, a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Judy Hoffman, five sisters and two brothers, Irene Hershberger, Amella Herman, Lillian Robbins, Minnie Marks, Loretta Gatto, Donald and Melvin Teis. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Steven Kruse, of Lincoln, NE; three sons and daughters-in-law, William and Marla Hoffman, of Euless, TX, Charles and Rebecca Hoffman, of Sandyville, and Scott and Suzanne Hoffman, of Canal Fulton; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, Sue Lillard and her children, Emma and Jarod, Chris (Bill) Jenkins and their daughters, Grace and Paige, Craig (Kristi) Hoffman, Mike (Megan) Dolanski, Jeffrey Hoffman, Sarah Hoffman, Shawn (Corey) Behrends and their children, Bethany Ann and Ford, Lauren McMaster and her children, Adisyn and Parker, and Ian McMaster; one sister, Lottie (Robert) Sponseller. Services will be held Monday, August 29, 2016, at 2 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Carl Orphanides officiating. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery Friends may call two hours before the service on Monday from 12-2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Evelyn's memory may be made to the Magnolia Historical Society, PO Box 276, Magnolia, OH 44643.
