EVELYN W. DUERR, Age 92, of Magnolia, passed away Thur. evening in her residence. Born in Russell Springs, KY, a daughter of the late Lewis and Haidee James Hammonds, she had been a Magnolia resident since 1949, previously residing in Canton. Evelyn was a 1937 graduate of McKinley High School and retired from Ohio Bell where she had been an operator and worked in the assigning office. She was a member of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church and she and her husband enjoyed square dancing. Preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Duerr, on Nov. 12, 2009, and her sister, Edna Verheyen. Survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Cheryl Duerr, of Lexington, MA, and Cathy and Stanley Ziolkowski, of Naperville, IL; one son, Kim Duerr, of Magnolia; and two grandchildren, Benjamin and Noah Kaplan. Services will be held Mon. at 11 a.m. in the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Sandyville with Pastor John Maroni officiating. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery. Friends may call Sun. from 2-4 p.m. in Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia and Mon. from 10-11 in the church.
