Evelyn M. (Miller) Beazel
Age 97, of Waynesburg, passed away Wed., Sept. 13, 2017. She was born Dec. 31, 1919 in Canton, OH, a daughter of the late Bernard and Lela (Penick) Volkert, and had been a Waynesburg resident since 1928. Evelyn was a 1937 graduate of Waynesburg High School and retired in 1978 from Superior Dairy where she was a clerk for several years. She previously worked for Hol-Guerns Dairy, Amster Kirtz Co., and Waltz Camera, where she developed film at night. Evelyn was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, and enjoyed traveling in an Airstream Motor Home, and spending winters in Florida. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Henry B. Miller, in 1970, and Robert E. Beazel, in 2011, two brothers and a sister, Donald and Richard Volkert, and Edna Maple. Evelyn is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Dan Moran, of Louisville, Susan and Charles Dalton, of Carrollton, and Jill and William Patterson, of Dellroy; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Donna Miller, of Canton; two step-sons, Roger and William Beazel; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held Sat. at 12 Noon in Centenary United Methodist Church with Pastor Linda Slutz officiating. Friends may call at the church two hours before the service from 10 a.m.-12 noon. Private burial immediately for the family in Sandy Valley Cemetery will be followed by a luncheon at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Evelyn's memory may be made to Centenary United Methodist Church, 6321 Waynesburg Drive SE, Waynesburg, OH 44688, or Aultman Compassionate Care, 2821 Woodlawn Ave. NW, Canton, OH 44708.
