Eugene Henry
Age 83, of North Canton, passed away Friday morning in Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Morgantown, WV, a son of the late Elmer and Nellie Oliver Henry, and had been a resident of the Canton area since 1951. Eugene attended West Virginia University for three years. He retired in 1987 from The Hoover Co., after 20 years service, where he was a material handler. He also was a professional photographer for over 40 years, and had been a staff photographer for The Repository. He was a member and Past Pres. of The Mended Hearts Chapter #19. Eugene served in the Army Air Force during World War II. Preceded in death by his wife, Angeline M. Henry, in 1985, and a brother, Clifford Henry. Survived by his daughter, Jeanne and her husband, Edward; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joanne and Alvin Sheetz, of Hellertown, PA, and Joyce and Eugene Aitken, of Morgantown, WV. Services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Rev. Don Baird officiating. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday 12-1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Henry's memory may be made to either the Heart & Vascular Institute, c/o Cleveland Clinic Foundation, PO Box 931517, Cleveland, OH 44193-1655, or the American Heart Assn.
