Ethel S. Papai
Age 88, of Dellroy, passed away Monday morning in Aultman Hospital. She was born in Bay de Noc Township, MI, a daughter of the late Edvin and Ida Bergqvist Pearson, and had been a Dellroy resident 63 years. Ethel was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Morges, and had served with the WAVES in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Stephen P. Papai, on Aug. 20, 1997. Survived by five daughters and four sons-in-law, Suzanne and Allan Tozzi, of Magnolia, Erika and Nicholas Ragaji, of Columbus, OH, Stephanie Magee, of Los Angeles, CA, Alice and Michael Blair, of Alabaster, AL, and Nancy and William Burkhart, Jr., of Morges; three sons, Carl, Paul, and Jonathan Papai, all of Dellroy; also 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Victor Cinson as Celebrant. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery with full Military Honors. Friends may call Wed. 7-9 p.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia, where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 8:45 p.m. Wed.
