Esther Shalosky
Age 92, of Magnolia, passed away Wed. morning, July 18, 2012, in Stow-Glen Retirement Village in Stow, OH. She was born in Morges, OH, a daughter of the late Florentz and Barbara (McCarty) Halter, and had been a Magnolia resident almost 50 years. Esther retired in 1982 from the U. S. Ceramic Tile Co. in East Sparta, after over 30 years' service, where she worked in the press room. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Magnolia Senior Citizens, and Magnolia A. A.R.P. Preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Oscar P. Shalosky, on Jan. 20, 2001, two brothers and two sisters, George, Joseph, Elizabeth and Evelyn Halter. Survived by a sister-in-law, Helen Halter, of Morges, three nephews and one niece. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Sat. at 10 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Zamary as Celebrant. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m.at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Shalosky's memory may be made to St. James School, 400 West Lisbon St., Waynesburg, OH 44688.
