Erma I. Scott
Age 89, of Mineral City, passed away Tuesday afternoon in Hennis Care Centre in Dover. She was born in Sandyville, a daughter of the late Claude and Oma (Hilton) Henline, and was a life resident of the Sandyville/Mineral City area. Erma was a 1941 graduate of East Sparta High School. She retired in 1989 from The Hoover Co., after 19 years service, where she was a trimmer. Erma attended Good Hope Lutheran Church in Zoarville. Preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Scott, on Nov. 2, 1965, her brother and sister, Frank Henline, on March 23, 2005, and Shirley Neisel, on April 5, 2012, and two grandsons, Dirk Scott and Jeffery Levengood. Survived by her daughter, Louise Levengood, of Mineral City; her son and daughter-in-law, David and Doris Scott, of Magnolia; two step-daughters, Martha Carlisle, of Dover, and Loueva Underwood, of Uhrichsville; one sister, Della Ladrach, of Sandyville; one brother and sister-in-law, James and Helen Henline, of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. Services will be held Fri. at 3 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Brian Rossow officiating. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery.
