Emery A. Hunt, Sr.

Age 79, of Waynesburg, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014, in Rittenhouse Senior Care Center in Indianapolis, IN.  He was born in Richwood, WV, a son of the late Burl and Zona (Greathouse) Hunt, and resided in Waynesburg 50 years until going to Indianapolis in 2009.  Emery retired in 1994 from The Timken Co., after 35 years service, where he was an inventory control specialist.  He had been a member of Waynesburg Freewill Baptist Church.  Emery served in the West Virginia National Guard and in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.  Preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn S. Hunt, on Dec. 1, 2005.  Survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Don Slutz, of Indianapolis, and his son and daughter-in-law, Emery and Beth (Moore) Hunt, Jr., of Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Geraldine Griffith, of Columbus, OH; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Gordon and Barbara Hunt, of Louisville, OH, Lloyd and Wanda Hunt, and Edward and Penny Hunt, all of Columbus, OH.  Services will be held Sat. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev.
