Elizabeth S. Yates

Age 101, of Canton, passed away Monday, Jan. 10, 2022.  She was born April 5, 1920 in Canton, a daughter of the late Anthony and Gladys (Slutz) Manse, and was a life resident.  Elizabeth had been an Avon Representative for over 25 years, and she was a long-time member of Calvary Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Donald E. Yates, on April 15, 2016, a son-in-law, Arthur Beistel, grandson-in-law, Scott Heckathorn, and brother, Al Huthmacher.  She is survived by two daughters, Donna Beistel and Diana Muhlbach, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Matt Muhlbach and fiancée Lisa Bestic, and his four daughters, Alexandra, Victoria, Christina, and Jennifer, Tracy Beistel, Erica (Tom) Martin, and Todd (Autumn) Beistel, and his sons, Finnegan and Oliver.

Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home.  Friends may call Friday one hour before the service from 10-11 a.m.  Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park.  In consideration of others, please wear a mask.
