Elizabeth Palmer Lotz
Age 84, of Waynesburg, passed away Friday morning in New Dawn in Dover. She was born in Canton, a daughter of the late Oscar Stokes and Russell and Evelyn Cunningham Brown, and had been a Waynesburg resident most of her life. Betty had worked at Grants and Kobachers stores in Canton in her early years, and after her husband Bob's, death, she volunteered at Mercy Medical Center for a number of years. She was an active member of Magnolia United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husbands, Robert W. Palmer, on July 14, 1991, and Kenneth A. Lotz, on Sept. 18, 2007, and a granddaughter, Meredith Flesher. Survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Roberta and Mike Murray, of Minerva. Darleen and Max Lebold, of Alliance, Arleen and Kenneth Flesher and Robin and Bill Lotz, all of Waynesburg; one sister, Arleen Shreve, of Tallmadge; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Steven M. Smith and Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery.
