Elinor E. McAllister Age 87, of Canton, passed away Wed. morning, Jan. 11, 2012, in Aultman Woodlawn after a brief illness. She was born in Canton, a daughter of the late Ira and Ruth (Ringle) Flickinger, and was a life resident. Elinor was a 1942 graduate of Jackson High School. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. McAllister, on Dec. 4, 1976, a daughter-in-law, Sally McAllister, on April 18, 1990, one sister and three brothers, Mabel Schorsten, William, Fred, and Robert Flickinger. Survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Sandra and Dale Foraker, of Massillon, and Barbara Zink, of Canton; her son, Ronnie McAllister, of North Canton; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Debra and Greg Keefer, Dena Rider and her children, Emily and Erik, Kimberly and Mark Long, and soon to be born, Luke, Jennifer and Andy Bolgiano, and their children, Eiley, Kinsey, and Aycen, Sarah and Josh Pollock. A private service for the family will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Roth officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery.
