Eleanor M. Longo

Age 94, of Waynesburg, passed away Friday, Nov. 24, 2023.  She was born Oct. 20, 1929 in Chatfield, Lykens Township, OH, a daughter of the late Howard and Gladys (Oberlander) Laipply, and had been a resident of Waynesburg since 1965.  Eleanor had been an employee of the former Sandy Valley Rubber Co., McDonalds in Waynesburg, and Cibo's Restaurant, and was a member of the Living Water Fellowship.  She enjoyed gardening, canning, cats, and birds.

In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Frank L. Longo, on Dec. 3, 2002, her son, Frank M. Longo, four brothers, John, George, Raymond, and Gerald Laipply, one sister, Mary Lou Parr, and a grandson, Vernon McKenzie. Eleanor is survived by two daughters and one son, Karen and Greg Maust, Pam and Jeff Emrich, and Richard Longo; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter; one sister, Kaye Catello.

Services will be held Wed., Nov. 29, 2023, at 1 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Michael Gross officiating.  Friends may call Wed. 11 a.m.-1 p.m. before the service.  Interment will be in Sandy Valley Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Eleanor's memory may be made to the Carroll County Animal Protective League, 4901 Canton Rd.
