Eleanor A. Grant
Age 86, a five year resident of the Canton Christian Home, passed away there Sunday afternoon. She was born in Middlebranch, a daughter of the late Michael and Josephine Michelli Grant, and was a life resident of the Canton area. Eleanor was a 1942 graduate of Middlebranch High School. She was retired from the Hoover Co., after over 40 years service, where she was a factory worker. Eleanor was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church and the Plain Township Garden Club. She volunteered many years helping the migrant workers in Hartville, and was an avid Glenoak Football booster. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters, Leonard and Anthony Grant, Angeline Grant, Mary Severence, Violet Dottore, Genevieve Rizzo, and Helen Slawson. Survived by three nieces and one nephew, Debbie and Larry Keeton, of Canton, Sharon and David Regiec, of Perry Township, Cary and Carol Grant, of North Canton, and Maureen Rizzo, of Parma, OH; also numerous great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law, Helen Grant, of Massillon and Norma Grant, of North Canton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in Little Flower Catholic Church with Fr. John Zuzik as Celebrant. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Wed. 6-8 p.m. at the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home and Thursday 9-10 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Eleanor's memory may be made to Little Flower Catholic Church, 2040 Diamond St. NE, North Canton, OH 44721.
