Edna M. Harper

Age 90, of Canton, passed away Wed., May 31, 2017.  She was born Sept. 23, 1926, in Carrollton, OH, a daughter of the late George and Kathryn (Gates) Patterson, and had been a Canton resident most of her life.  Edna was a member of Reedurban Presbyterian Church and the Hall of Fame Tennis Club.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ray C. Harper, on Nov. 13, 2008, two sisters and one brother, Violet Patterson, Nellie House, and John Patterson.  Edna is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Dr. Paul Waibel, her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Gina Harper, one sister, Evelyn Graber, ten grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.  A Memorial Service will be held Sat. at 11 a.m. in Reedurban Presbyterian Church with Rev. Lynn Shetzer officiating.  Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park.  The family will receive friends in the church Fellowship Hall immediately following the service during a luncheon.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Edna's memory may be made to Reedurban Presbyterian Church, 1145 Perry Dr. NW, Canton, OH 44708, or Aultman Hospice, 2821 Woodlawn Ave. NW, Canton, OH 44708.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
