EARL A. "TOOTS" JOHNINO,
Age 82, a resident of Mayfield Manor, passed away in Hanover House Wed. morning. Born in Mineral city, a son of the late Frederick and Carmel Solvey Johnino, he was a resident of Canton many years but also resided in Franklin and Titusville, PA. Earl retired in 1981 from American Steel in Alliance where he was a steelworker. Following his retirement he also worked for Wal-Mart and McDonald's and he also was a licensed minister and had officiated at numerous weddings. Earl and Mary were married in the Rectory of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Canton and had attended there a number of years ago. He was a member of McKinley Eagles #2370 and the Sons of Italy in Greenville, PA. He was preceded in death by his son, Fredrick Johnino, and his brother, Anthony Giannini. Survived by his wife, Mary (Boso) Johnino; his children's mother, Gerri Johnino, of Greenville, PA; one daughter and son-in-law, Carmel and Paul Womer, of Greenville, PA; two sons, Daniel Johnino, of Massillon, and Phillip Johnino, of Oil City, PA; one daughter-in-law, Melissa Johnino, of PA; three step-children, Janet and Douglas Vaugn, John Boso, and Joanne and Glenn Grooms, all of Canton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosemary and Rudy Pirolozzi, of Mineral City, and Angeline and John Cinson, of Malvern; and five grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and five step-grandchildren. Services will be conducted Sat. at 3 p.m. in Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Fr. Victor Cinson officiating. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Mineral City following cremation. Friends may call Sat. one hour before the service, from 2-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Toots' memory may be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
