OBITUARY FOR TUESDAY REPOSITORY WITH PICTURE: Douglas E. Staats Age 38, of Canton, passed away Sat. evening in Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Canton, a son of Sandra (Woods) Staats, of Canton, and the late William H. "Buffalo" Staats, who passed away Jan. 22, 2011, and was a life resident. Doug was a 1991 graduate of McKinley High School, and was an employee of the Suarez Corp. He was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church. A brother, Larry Staats, also preceded him in death on March 24, 2003. Surviving besides his mother is his brother and sister-in-law, Guy and Serena Staats, of Forest Park, GA, and sister-in-law, Heather Staats, of Beach City. Services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Rev. Sue Ann Schmidt officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
