Douglas C. Fries, Age 69, of Canton, passed away Thur., Mar. 16, 2023.  He was born Mar. 3, 1954, in Canton, a son of the late Arthur "Rulo" and Kathryn (Campbell) Fries.  Doug was a 1972 graduate of Lehman High School and retired from Mercy Medical Center in 2018, after 21 years-service, as a Security Officer.  Preceded in death by his brothers, Tom and Mike Fries.  Survived by his wife of 33 years, Marlene Fries; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert (Chrissandra) Sparks, Jr.; and one grandson, Justin Sparks.  According to his wishes there will be no services.  Interment in North Lawn Cemetery.  The Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
