Dorothy E. Winter

Age 96, of Carrollton, passed away Sat., June 19, 2021.  She was born July 25, 1924 in Louisville, OH, and had been a resident of the Carrollton area since 1984.   She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Morges and the DAV Auxiliary.   She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Carl Winter, on Dec. 9, 1996, two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Judy Winter and Bill and Gail Winter, son-in-law, William Hanenkrat, and a sister and brother, Kate Gensley and Don Culler.  Dorothy is survived by two daughters and three sons, Patty and Jerry Brinkley, Jean Hanenkrat, Tom and Peg Winter, Dick and Patti Winter, and David and Kathy Winter, nineteen grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Vic Cinson as Celebrant.  Friends may call Thursday 10-11 a.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia.  Interment will be in St. Mary's Church Cemetery.  The family wishes give a special thanks to Stephanie and Mike McCartney for the love and care given to grandma for the past two years.  The family also wishes to thank hospice and the other special care givers for their help and kindness.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dorothy's memory may be made to either The Helping Hand Network, 126 S.
