Dorothy B. Schwartz Age 95, of Sandyville, passed away Wed., March 20, 2013, in the Canton Christian Home. She was born in Cleveland, a daughter of the late Ernest and Nellie (James) Francis, grew up in old Zoarville, and resided in Sandyville since 1939 when she and Jim got married. Dorothy retired from the Sparta Ceramic, after over 50 years service, where she was personnel secretary. She was a member of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, where she was very active, including as chairman of the Altar Committee, and was a member of both the Board of the Ceramic Federal Credit Union and the Board of Tri Division Ambulance for many years. Preceded in death by her husband, James A. Schwartz, on March 10, 1958, and a brother, Stanley Francis. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jim Quint, of Massillon; a granddaughter and her husband, Jalyn and Christopher LaPole, and their daughter, Abigail, of Canton, and a grandson, Brett Quint, of Massillon. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor John Maroni and Chaplain Ron Iwanusa officiating. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery in Sandyville.
