Dorothy J. Mobley Age 94, of North Canton, passed away Tuesday evening, July 3, 2012, in Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Dalton. She was born in Canton, a daughter of the late Charles and Lucille (Duchensla) Doerschuk, and was a life resident of the Canton-North Canton area. Dorothy was a 1935 graduate of McKinley High School, and was a former employee of Deuble's Jewelry Store, where she was a sales lady. She had attended St. Peter's Catholic Church in Canton and Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Uniontown, and also was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the North Canton Elks. Preceded in death by her husbands, George Stropki, on April 11, 1950, and Jack Mobley, on Feb. 2, 1994, and two brothers, John and Lee Doerschuk. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Dan Mickley, of Dalton, and a step-son and his wife, Randy and Caryl Mobley, of Chicago, IL; seven grandchildren, Beth and Mike Valentine, Patty and Jeff Kuhn, Jackie and Tim Helline, Joanie and Peter Kiko, Ray and Rhonda Mickley, and Ryan and Darin Mobley; 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Thelma Doerschuk, of North Canton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Barbara's Catholic Church in Massillon with Fr. Thomas Cebula as Celebrant. Family and friends may call at the church 10-11 a.m. before the Mass. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. The Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
