Dorothy M. Miller
Age 85, of Waynesburg, passed away Sunday morning in Aultman Compassionate Care. She was born in Weirton, WV, a daughter of the late Marvin and Eveleen (Dooley) Boggess, and resided in the East Sparta-Waynesburg area over 50 years, previously residing in the Amsterdam-Carrollton area. Dorothy was a member of the Waynesburg Freewill Baptist Church, which was very important to her, and enjoyed playing the piano for the church and also at home. Preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Paul J. Miller, on Oct. 14, 1995, three brothers and one sister, Bob, Raymond, and Harley Boggess, and Eileen Peterson, also twin grandsons and two great-grandchildren. Survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Pam Barstow, of Magnolia, Linda and John Woodlock, of Waynesburg, and Paula and Ronnie Hockenberry, of Malvern; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Florence and Joe McClosky, of Carrollton, Juanita and Dave Guess, of Amsterdam, and Maxine and Daryl Bowers, of Plain City, OH; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Waynesburg Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Stanley officiating. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia, and Friday 10-11 a.m. at the church before the service.
