Dorothy R. George Age 80, of Canton, passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, in Altercare of Louisville. She was born in Canton, a daughter of the late George and Fern (Wilson) Saal, and was a life resident of Canton. Dorothy was a 1949 graduate of Lehman High School. She had been Office Manager for Hallmark Furniture for a number of years, and also secretary for Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Survived by her husband, Lester J. George, with whom she celebrated their 61st Wedding Anniversary on Sept. 4th; one daughter, Leslie Geis, of Canton; three sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Barbara George, of Canton, Mark and Michelle George and Terry George and Laura Young, all of North Canton; one sister and brother-in-law, Georgia and Johnny Doty, of Belmont, OH; one brother, Bud Saal, of Florida; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A private service for the family will be held in North Lawn Cemetery with her grandson, Rev. Ben George officiating. There will be no calling hours.
