Dorothy H. Farber

Age 86, of East Sparta, passed away Wed., Sept. 23, 2015, in Hennis Care Centre in Bolivar.  She was born in Sharon, PA, a daughter of the late Earle and Helen (Nelius) Blair, and had been an East Sparta resident most of her life. Dorothy retired in 1994 from Canton Urology where she worked in the office.  She was a member of East Sparta United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Singles Luncheon Group and the Women's Society, Sandy Valley A.A.R.P. Chapter #4647, the Aultman Cardiac Rehabilitation Group, where she was Woman of the Year in 2004, and was a volunteer tutor at Waynesburg Elementary School.  Preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Carl R. Farber, on June 20, 2001.  Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Ned Sickafoose, of Magnolia, her son, Dale Farber, of Massillon, and a granddaughter, Kristen (Adam) Maple.  Services will be held Sat. at 1 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Peggy Garner officiating.  Interment will be in East Sparta Cemetery.  Friends may call Sat. 11 a.m.-1 p.m. before the service.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dorothy's memory may be made to East Sparta United Methodist Church.  Condolences may be sent to:www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
