Dorothy A. Applegarth,

Age 90, of Magnolia, passed away Wed., Apr. 1, 2026. She was born Dec. 31, 1935, in Mineral City, a daughter of the late Max and Blanche (Jones) Myers. Dorothy was a 1953 graduate of Mineral City High School and retired from James IGA in Magnolia. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles Applegarth, on Nov. 28, 2001; twin sister Delores Myers, sisters Mary Devine, and Ruth Randulich; and her brothers, Richard, Moxie and Jay Myers. Survived by her daughters, Karen Schweitzer, Sharon Baker, and Susan (Tim) Russell; her sons, Rick (Karen) McCartney and William McCartney; and seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Private services will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dorothy’s memory may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr., Suite E, Green, OH 44685.
